How to Choose the Best Laminate Floor

Durable AC Rating

A higher AC rating means more durability, reflecting the floor’s ability to handle high foot traffic. AC3 is suitable for homes, AC4 is recommended for light commercial or heavy home traffic, & AC5 is ideal for heavy commercial use.

Thickness Matters

Thicker laminates do a better job at resisting bending, reducing noise, creating a sturdy feel under your feet, & tend to be more forgiving against uneven subfloors. Thicknesses range from 8mm to 14mm.

Realistic Surface Texture

Surface textures have precise surface details simulating the exact feeling of authentic wood. Popular surface textures for wood-look laminates include wood-engraved, EIR (Embossed-in-Register), & hand-scraped.

Easy Installation

Laminate flooring is easy to install, thanks to the click-clock system. The edges of laminate planks easily snap together & float over your subfloor, creating a secure connection that doesn’t require the use of glue or nails.
